Nevena Janković lives in Požega, where she was born on April 15, 1980. A lawyer with a master’s degree in legal sciences, she expressed her creativity in professional, scientific texts and, of course, in her everyday work. A few years ago, she started writing short and flash fiction stories inspired by interesting legal cases. In those stories, she always turns to humans and their emotions.

This is her first book – Blue, which she created with the passionate illustrator Lazar Mitrović. The book is innovative in the way of writing and graphic presentation. All the stories are told by Blue, whom Nevena and Lazar “brought to life” in appearance and even a recognizable attitude.

Nevena enjoys mountain hiking and running with her husband Milos, and their sons Petar, David, and Filip often join them. She likes crocheting as one timeless form of creative expression in which she has time for thinking and creating a new story.

Lazar Mitrović was born on February 26, 1992, in Požega, where he, after almost a decade of traveling, currently lives. His love for drawing has followed him since childhood, and he honed his skills through academic education. His excellent work has been recognized with several international awards.

Through a unique connection with the subject and readers, he creates exceptional graphics and evokes emotions in all who see his visual storytelling. It seems like he ‘lived’ through the stories himself, how skillfully he fused the character Blue into a cohesive whole with the stories.

In his free time, Lazar likes to act and play the guitar. He can be seen in a variety of roles on the local scene. With such creative diversity, he was blessed by his parents, whose support and energy he carries in his memory.
